I think this a very attractive lamp shade. I couldn’t tell, by first glance online, that the lamp shade isn’t a solid, gray color. The gray is in fibers, like in a linen or tweed patterned material, covering the outside of the lamp shade. Because of the tweed pattern on the outside of the lamp, it has kind of a unique look. Even though the color is gray, the tweed pattern is light enough that it allows some of the light to shine through, which is kind of neat looking. Also, even though there is that light, gray tweed material covering the lamp shade, which could make it a little darker in the room, the top and bottom of it have large openings. This allows for additional light to shine up the walls, out of the top, and all over the table surface, out of the bottom. The size of this lamp shade is perfect for our medium sized table lamp. It measures at 13 x 15 x 10 inches. The frame of the lamp shade is a sturdy metal, that feels well made. It has a three-pronged, spoke-like design along the top-center part of the shade, that contains a round screw hole, which is instrumental in securing the lamp shade to the lamp. It easily screws on/attaches to the top of the lamp frame, above the light bulb. I think this is a good product, and I would recommend this product to others.
