10254 1/4″, 4 Flute Tap Extractor With Square Shank

My tap was broken off in some aluminum 8020 extrusion I was attempting to tap. I was using a tap driver on a drill and got a little out of hand and broke the tap off. This tap remover was a little on the spendy side but I really wanted to get the broken tap out. Take your time with it and be sure all 4 flutes are as far in the tap as possible. A helper would have been handy but not needed for sure. I had used an end mill bit to flush the end of the broken tap off prior to attempting to remove. This is a made in USA tool and therefore not cheap but it did what I needed and saved a piece of material worth twice the cost of the tool.
