Backward compatibility with older USB standards is available if your machine doesn’t support USB 3.2 Gen 2. Additionally, this card reader can be immediately linked to Thunderbolt 3 ports because it uses the same interface as USB Type-C. Additional system connecting tools include a 19.7″ USB Type-C to Type-C connector. Angelbird’s SD Dual Card Reader is bus powered, meaning it receives power directly from your system’s host USB or Thunderbolt port, with no additional cables or power supplies required. The Solid Stack design allows for the modular stacking of multiple card readers, while the USB Type-C port features Solid Connect recessed connectivity, which helps to ensure stable, uninterrupted data transfers, as well as protection for your cable against wear and tear.
